Why $8,000 Fundraiser Goal?? Why in April??

Augustus Howland purchased Lot 149 and Lot 35, which included this farm, on April 2, 1832.

His father, George Howland, sent him $8,000 towards the total cost of $9,808.70.

Thus, "8k in April" was created as the Howland Farm Museum annual fundraising event for our programming and operations budget!!

Each year will have a different theme and exhibit!

2022 Fundraiser Theme:

Good-bye Hollywood!

To celebrate the transition from Owner, Jodi Baldwin's previous career as a Wardrobe Supervisor in the film and television industry, to full time immersion in the creation of her life long dream, this year's fundraiser theme is:

"Good-bye Hollywood!"

View the exhibit, "Wardrobe Supervisor: Behind the Scenes", which displays clothing from Jodi's "supervisor kit" which was worn by famous actors and actresses! Scripts, props and other paraphernalia from her career will also be on display, located in the first floor of the Main House!

Enjoy live music by Sue Alexander & Bob Nodzo, and play the "Guess the movie" game for certain popular songs that were featured in major movies!

Create memories at the Red Carpet photo setup! Suggested party attire is anything Hollywood related: Golden Age glamor, Red Carpet black tie, your favorite actor or movie/tv character, or dress as one of the dedicated crew members who work their butts off behind the scenes, lol! Tag @howlandfarmmuseum in your posts!!

Don't miss out on fresh, hot air popped popcorn, with a variety of toppings at the Popcorn Station!

Light fare and refreshments will also be available!

As well as information about Howland Farm Museum and opportunities to ask creator Jodi Baldwin any questions in person!
